MODERN SLAVERY POLICY

In New Zealand, the closest equivalent to a Modern Slavery Policy, as it is understood in the UK context, falls under broader human rights and employment standards legislation. New Zealand’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking is rooted in various laws and regulations that promote fair labour practices and protect human rights. These include the Employment Relations Act 2000, the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and the Immigration Act 2009, among others. Unlike the UK, which has the Modern Slavery Act 2015 specifically addressing issues of modern slavery and human trafficking, New Zealand relies on a combination of legislation to tackle these issues.

When creating a policy that would be applicable both in the UK and New Zealand, it is crucial to integrate the principles and requirements of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act with New Zealand’s legislative framework. This ensures compliance and demonstrates a commitment to ethical practices in both countries. Below is the ITogether worldwide policy, incorporating Network Integration Technologies Limited and Network Integration Technologies (APAC) Limited (Trading as ITogether)
